Post(Card)-A-Day 19: No breaking news

Fraktur isn't always the easiest text to read, so here is a transcription in Oliver Printype:

  1. I love that Senta Fraktur typeface! It is one I referred to somewhere as the one that I must have and do not know what it is called. Someone had an example of Old English on their blog and I like it too, but this one is the fantastic one. Thanks for the post. Like your last paragraph 'can't just rush out and buy one..'

  3. A well-written piece, thanks for this, Adwoa.
At times, the "drooling" is an end in itself. You just marvel at what other typospherians find without ever really thinking "I must have that, now!" Of course, we're not going to complain if the stars align and we do get what we've been drooling over. Aah, the profound dynamics of drooling...

  4. I do love that aspect of Typewriter collecting - the fact that if one of us finds something unique and interesting, we get a nice long time to marvel at it without having to succumb to the consumerist urge to have one ourselves - just because in most cases, it's not possible to just rush out and buy one yourself :D

In some ways, typewriter collecting is more like art collecting than gadget collecting. (:
